The software is written using Openscript, the scripting
language of Toolbook Instructor v. 8.6 of Visual Basic 2005 Express.

a scholarly source of medical information, is a
subsidiary of BML. BMD provides free up-to-date
practical medical information. "BMD Diseases" offers detailed
disease/disorder topic discussions (some are free and some can be purchased).

H. Verdain Barnes, MD and Barnes MedLit.

About the Founder
and Author
H. Verdain Barnes, MD, MACP, MDiv
Dr. Barnes is a nationally recognized
internist, educator, scholar and innovator. He received his MD degree from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Barnes
completed his residency and was chief medical resident in internal medicine at Johns
Hopkins University Hospital where he also completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric
endocrinology.
Dr. Barnes retired from
active teaching, research and full time practice in June 2002. During his career he was the Chair of
several Departments of Medicine at leading University Medical Schools (University of Tennessee - Chattanooga
- 5 years, Wright State
University Medical School - eleven years and Eastern Virginia Medical School - 5
years. In each of these
institutions he was Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and in the latter
Professor of Family Medicine and Medical History.
He is currently Professor Emeritus Wright State University, Clinical Professor
of Medicine Emory University School of Medicine and Clinical Professor of
Medicine Medical College of Georgia.
He has received numerous national
recognitions including being named a Master of the American College of
Physicians (MACP) and election to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical
honor society.
Dr. Barnes is recognized for his
preparation and delivery of up-to-date medical information and practical health information. He has authored or co-authored
